About Me

Jack Chapman - Real Time Developer & Creative Technologist

My name is Jack. I’m a Real Time Developer & Creative Technologist based in North London. I have over 6 years experience working as a developer, technologist, and engineer, predominantly within creative technology and architecture. I also love working on projects that combine visual art, music and mathematics with real time technologies. Consequently, I’m currently developing a new audiovisual live show that I plan to perform within the next 2 years.

I’m part of Squint/Opera’s Immersive team, working as an “Unreal Developer”. In this role I use predominantly Unreal Engine and Blender to create real time applications of large-scale architecture projects. Clients are then able to experience their visions before they materialise.

Having studied mechanical engineering (MEng) at University, I feel I have a strong capacity to delve into the heart of problems to find the most effective solutions. The adajacent image is me holding my first scientific publication.

From an early age I’ve been involved with underground dance music; I’m currently combining my musicianship with real time technologies to create the next generation of creative expression. In my role at Aecom, I used my music production skills when creating soundtracks of immersive environments for client showreels.
